Why?
Recycling waste or unwanted items saves energy and natural resources, but not all such items can be placed in Bradford Council’s household recycling bins or taken to the Waste Recycling Centre in Keighley. However, there are many alternative schemes that can be taken advantage of

Dunelm recycle electricals but only if a new item is being bought. They also recycle clean textiles including pillows

Electrical equipment can be hired at The Ilkley Thingery, 1 Regent Road, Ilkley
For electrical repairs use The Repair Cafe at Silsden Methodist Church, Wesley Place, Silsden, 3rd Saturday of each month

Marigold gloves can be recycled at All Saints Church in Ilkley. A TerraCycle collection box specifically for Marigold-branded rubber gloves and their packaging is located at the back of the church.
There is are old makeup products bins in Boots and Tesco that take compacts, mascara, eyeliners, and lipstick tubes, but not brushes or glass

Soft plastics can be recycled at Addingham Coop and most other major supermarkets in the area

TerraCycle bins are located at St John's Church in Ben Rhydding for pens, marigolds and dental products
W
There is a bucket for white plastic milk bottle tops in the ticket office in Ilkley railway station
Z
Zimmer frames and other medical adaptations should be returned to Airedale hospital or https://www.bradford.gov.uk/adult-social-care/living-independently/bradford-and-airedale-community-equipment-service/. They can be repaired and reused. Do not return to other services
